What started as a watch company in 2011 has grown to be so much more. Shinola is a Detroit-based luxury design brand with an unwavering commitment to making lasting things—from timepieces to leather goods, jewelry to audio. The brand is rooted in celebrating the appreciation of quality products and experiences, and it’s exactly why the company had an early desire to create a place where visitors and locals could get lost in the wonder of thoughtful design.

The world’s first Shinola Hotel is Detroit’s new living room. Located in the heart of the city’s historic Woodward shopping district, this 129-room boutique hotel offers a completely original hospitality experience.

Shinola Hotel은 70-80년대 미국 중산층의 가정집을 떠올리게 하는 129개의 객실과 세 개의 이벤트 홀로 구성되어 있으며, 아메리칸 다이닝이나 비어 펍과 같은 미국식 다이닝 또한 갖춰져 있다. 레트로와 모던 스타일이 공존하는 듯한 호텔의 내부 공간은 Michigan, Detroit를 기반으로 하는 브랜드와 협업해 가구와 집기, 마감재, 오브제 등 모든 요소를 ‘Made in USA’로 채웠다. 이처럼 Shinola Hotel의 곳곳에서는 번영하던 시절에 대한 향수와 미국 제조업에 대한 자부심, 그리고 이를 이끌어왔던 장인들에 대한 존중을 느낄 수 있으며, 지역의 부흥과 상생을 키워드로 많은 관광객과 지역주민들에게 사랑받고 있다.

Shinola Hotel’s accommodations are thoughtfully designed with varied layouts—featuring handcrafted millwork, custom mattresses, and wallpaper inspired by patterns found during the renovation process. The property marries two restored buildings—the old T.B. Rayl & Co. sporting goods and hardware store and a former Singer sewingmachine store—with three brand new buildings modeled after downtown Detroit’s historic architecture.

San Morello

Inspired by the spirit and piazzas of southern Italy and Sicily, San Morello is chef Andrew Carmellini's urban Italian neighborhood restaurant in downtown Detroit serving authentic, wood-fired dishes, pizzas and house-made pastas using local, seasonal ingredients.

BIRDY ROOM

Featuring vaulted glass ceilings, the bright and airy Birdy Room conservatory offers a verdant and refreshing respite from the energy of downtown. This sunroom-style space with a private garden is perfect for cocktail hours, wedding ceremonies, standing receptions for up to 160 guests, and intimate seated occasions for up to 70 guests.

탁 트인 유리 천장으로 드는 자연광이 특징인 Birdy Room은 Detroit 도심의 소음에서 벗어나 상쾌하게 휴식할 수 있는 공간이다. 개인 정원이 갖춰져 있으며, 칵테일 파티나 결혼식, 160명을 수용할 수 있는 스탠딩 리셉션과 최대 70명이 앉을 수 있는 좌석을 제공한다.

THE BRAKEMAN

The Brakeman is an American beer hall featuring rotating drafts of craft beers from the Midwest while serving up fried chicken from neighboring Penny Red’s. Open year-round, The Brakeman’s alleyway features games including Ping-Pong, foosball, and shuffleboard.

The Brakeman은 전형적인 미국식 펍을 연상케 하는 공간이다. 인접한 치킨 다이닝 Penny’s Red의 프라이드 치킨과 함께 중서부 지방의 생맥주, 수제 맥주를 제공하며, 핑퐁이나 Foosball 게임처럼 간단한 오락거리 또한 갖추고 있다.

BIXBY HALL

Bixby Hall is our most spacious venue and features an ornate white-tile ceiling, understated chandeliers and a marble fireplace. Throughout this stunning banquet hall, mirrors amplify both light and space, while glass French doors provide outdoor access. Bixby Hall can accommodate meetings and weddings for 100-180 guests.

FOUNDRY ROOM

Focused and sophisticated, the Foundry Room is our ideal space for business meetings, creative brainstorm sessions, and other corporate functions for up to 20 guests.

ARGONITE SUITE

Complete with a Shinola turntable and vinyl record library, Argonite suites amplify the residential experience. These rooms are open and spacious and have luxurious seating areas. Select rooms also include a bathtub.

Argonite Suite는 갤러리처럼 우아하게 디자인된 타입의 객실이다. 턴테이블과 Shinola가 큐레이팅한 바이닐 컬렉션이 갖춰져 있으며, 200평 규모의 넓은 공간이 오픈 플랜으로 구성되어 있어 머무르는 시간을 더욱 가치 있게 만들어준다.

WOODWARD SUITE

Sit back and relax. Woodward suites are perfectly proportioned and designed with your comfort in mind. There are several different room configurations that all share the amenities you can expect from Shinola.

Woodward suite 타입의 객실은 머무르는 이들에게 최적의 편안함을 제공하는 레이아웃과 디자인으로 완성됐다. 약 130평 규모의 Woodward Suite에는 응접실, 침실, 서재가 갖춰져 있다.

RUNWELL SUITE

Runwell suite 타입은 약 170평 이상의 규모로, 7개의 각기 다른 레이아웃으로 다시 구분된다. 응접실과 침실, 별도의 다이닝과 미니 키친이 준비되어 있으며, 차분한 톤과 모던한 스타일의 가구, 마감재로 디자인됐다.
